Jarl-Hendrik Kues has been working in private construction law and procurement law for more than 20 years. He has advised on numerous lighthouse projects in Germany and abroad, including and predominantly for infrastructure measures, energy transition projects (offshore/onshore and track construction), structural engineering projects and civil and hydraulic engineering measures. Jarl-Hendrik Kues also advises on large IPD projects and supports clients on the preparation, enforcement of and defence against service supplementary claims and claims related to building management. In procurement law, Jarl-Hendrik Kues advises public contracting authorities on the preparation and implementation of tenders for construction, supply and performance services. He supports tenderers in preparing tenders and in enforcing their rights during contract award review procedures.
Jarl-Hendrik Kues is the publisher of a commentary on construction contract law within the German Civil Code (BGB) and of the manual “AGB-Klauseln in Bauverträgen” (GT&C Clauses in Construction Contracts) and has contributed to three different commentaries on the German Construction Tendering and Contract Regulations, Part B (VOB/B) and two commentaries on procurement law. He regularly speaks at seminars and conferences on construction and procurement law.
